NAKKI LAKE
One of the most popular attractions in mount Abu, Nakki Lake is an ancient and sacred lake. According to Hindu mythology the lake was dug out by the Gods by simply using their nails to gain shelter from the Demon Bashkali, however many such mythological stories exist leading to the creation of this lake. Nevertheless, the place is a great spot for picnic with friends and family alike.
TOAD ROCK
The mascot of Mount Abu, that is how lovingly the Toad Rock could be pithily portrayed! Perched over a hill, directly overlooking the love lake Nakki, it is one of the most frequented point in the itinerary.
ADHAR DEVI TEMPLE
Situated in a cave, The Adhar Devi Temple is one of the popular religious themed tourist destinations in the Mount Abu region. It is situated three kilometers north of the main town of Mount Abu.
SUNSET POINT
Sunset Point located in South West of Nakki Lake provides you a scenic view of the setting sun. Hundreds of people swarm this area in the evening amidst a carnival atmosphere. Food stalls.
DILWARA TEMPLE
These are the prime attraction on Mount Abu and are situated at a distance of about 4 km. The temples here built between the 11TH & 13TH centuries are farmous for their rich intricate carvings in white marble.
GURU SIKHAR PEAK
Guru Shikhar, a peak at an altitude of 5,676 feet (1722 meters), is the highest point in Rajasthan. It is located at a distance of 15 km from Mount Abu. It has a commanding view of Abu and its surroundings.
AMBAJI TEMPLE, GUJARAT
One of the most famous temples of northern India, Ambaji holds the crown of being one of the 51 Shaktipeeths, according to ancient scriptures the heart of the Goddess Ambaji fell on the earth here, It is also beleived that the mundan of Lord Krishna was performed at Ambaji. The original seat of Ambaji mata is on gabbar hilltop nearby the main temple, millions of devotees visit Ambaji temple every year specially on Purnima days and during nine days of Navaratri.
